Al-Ettifaq FC is a historic football club from Dammam, on the eastern coast of Saudi Arabia. The team plays its home games at the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium. Which holds around 26,000 fans and is known for its passionate local support.
Nicknamed “Al-Faris” (The Knight), Al-Ettifaq has a proud tradition in Saudi football. They became the first Saudi club to win the league undefeated (in 1983) and the first from the country to lift an international title, winning the Gulf Club Champions Cup. The club has also enjoyed success in domestic competitions, with multiple league and cup triumphs throughout its history.
Fun fact: Founded in 1945, Al-Ettifaq has produced and attracted many Saudi stars over the decades. In recent years, the club gained international attention when Premier League legend Steven Gerrard took charge as manager, bringing new experience and global recognition to the “Knights.”
